30 Cecil Street is a short dance film shot in the dilapidated premises of the old Theatre Royal in the Limerick Athenaeum
building. With a history that stretches back over 150 years, the Royal has been closed to
the public for the last 13 years, since it was last used as a venue for live music and
performance. Engaging with the atmosphere and past of this near-derelict building and using
a soundtrack made up of found sounds and interviews carried out with people associated
with the Athenaeum, 30 Cecil Street explores the state of a building that was once a hub of
cultural activity within Limerick and now lies empty and closed to the public.

The Line

BEyond
Norwegen 2010, 6:29 min.

The movie BEyond contains a lot of twisted steps from different dancestyles put together in the ironic way that only The Line can do. We use references from a wide range (contemporary, folk, mtv and so on..) and set them in a new context inspired from tired clichés.

The Line consists of Ole Martin Meland, Ida Wigdel and Kristina Søetorp, all educated at The College of arts in Oslo. The company made their first performance Three Pieces in 2006, and have since performed at various important events. In February 2010 they released the well-received dancefilm BEyond during the New Norwegian dance festival at Dansens Hus in Oslo. This summer they had their international debut with their show BEyond the face at I like to watch too, Julidans in Amsterdam which became a big success.

It is a cinematographic writing born from the spacial and temporary improvisation research, where the movement form a symbiotic relationship. A strange film where nothing revealed easily. A life hidden behind another one, imaginary…
They are two... but how many are they really?

Normally used to define the repetition of a sound or another phenomenon, the word ECHO nominates, in this work, the sequence of disorders that disturb the mind of the contemporary individual

"KUNATINU" s’articule autour de la lutte pour l’amélioration de l’environnement particulièrement agressé au Congo par l’abus des sacs plastiques.
L’industrie du plastique a gagné le marché planétaire. Partout dans le monde les sacs plastique sont utilisés abusivement.

Les pays pauvres et non industrialisés, consommateurs, sont envahis par ces emballages peu coûteux et non recyclables qui, après usage, se transforment en déchets non biodégradables qui contribuent à l’asphyxie et à la détérioration des sols.
